Private Lesson Policies
By purchasing a private lesson or lesson package from JustinesFrench, you agree to the following policies.
Lesson Duration
Each private lesson lasts 60 minutes.
Booking
After purchasing a trial lesson or lesson package, students will receive an email from JustinesFrench asking about their French level, learning goals, time zone, and scheduling preferences.
Based on this information, JustinesFrench will assign a teacher according to the student's needs and teacher availability.
The assigned teacher will then contact the student directly to arrange their first lesson. All subsequent lessons are scheduled directly between the student and their teacher, subject to mutual availability.
Students are responsible for checking their inbox and spam or junk folder regularly to ensure they do not miss communications from JustinesFrench or their assigned teacher.
Lesson Packages and Validity
Trial lessons, 5-lesson packs, and 10-lesson packs are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or where JustinesFrench is unable to provide the purchased service.
Trial lessons are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase.
5-lesson packs are valid for 4 months from the date of purchase.
10-lesson packs are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
Students are responsible for booking and using their lessons within the applicable validity period.
Any unused lessons expire after the applicable validity period and cannot be refunded, transferred, or extended.
Teacher Availability
Private lessons are subject to teacher availability.
Purchasing a lesson or lesson package does not guarantee availability at a specific day or time.
If, after purchase, JustinesFrench is unable to offer lessons due to a lack of teacher availability, the student will be contacted by email and will receive a full refund for any lessons that cannot be provided.
Teacher assignments are made by JustinesFrench based on factors including availability, student level, learning goals, and exam preparation requirements.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Lessons may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice, subject to teacher availability.
Lessons cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are considered used and are non-refundable.
Late Arrivals and No-Shows
If a student arrives late, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time.
Missed lessons without at least 24 hours' notice are considered used.
Behavior
Respectful behavior is required during lessons.
A teacher may end a lesson in the event of inappropriate, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or sexually inappropriate behavior. The lesson may be considered used.
